(More customer reviews)Having a milk allergy, I've been using rice protein powder for years as a a way to help get enough protein in my diet. I have a dairy-free protein smoothie every morning so I go through a container of protein powder quickly. I have been a loyal Sun Warrior Vanilla protein user... until now. I decided to try Nutribiotic rice protein because 1) it comes in an organic variety and 2) you get a larger quantity for less money than you do with Sun Warrior.
Upon receiving the Nutribiotic Organic Rice Protein, I immediately compared it side-by-side to the Sun Warrior Vanilla Protein that I had left. It has the same ultra-fine, silky texture and mixes the same in liquid. There is a difference in taste because of the difference in ingredients. Nutribiotic only has 2 ingredients whereas Sun Warrior has 5 ingredients. They both have a vanilla flavor but Sun Warrior is considerably sweeter due to added Stevia. At first I thought that I'd miss the sweetness but after switching between both proteins for a while, I found that I prefer the less sweet Nutribiotic! It doesn't overpower the other flavors in my smoothies or leave an aftertaste like some other protein powders can.
I highly recommend this organic rice protein as an alternative to whey or soy proteins and if you use other brands of rice protein, I encourage you to give this one a try!
