(More customer reviews)I've tried so many hair products that I can't even begin to tell you how many I have in my bathroom. In Oct. 2009, I experienced hair shedding and hair loss. Enough that it scared me enough to do research on shampoos and the ingredients in them. I learned that tea lauryl sulfate is the gentlest lowest ph balanced shampoo in the market. Problem was, where was I going to find one. I did my internet research and learned that Mirta de Perales has a milk shampoo that has been around for over 40 years. Being a latina woman myself, I did remember seeing her commercials growing up, so I decided to go back to my latin neighborhood to find this product. I purchased the milk shampoo, along with S oil treatment, the conditioning rinse, and the yellow balsam. After 2 months of consistently shedding my hair, this was the only product that enabled me to comb my wet hair without having 50 strands on my bathroom sink. I had gone to the dermatologist, and used derma-smoothe which is made of peanut oil and had to sleep with that horrible smell all night long and it didn't even work. But mirtha products were helping my hairs elasticity to the point that 6 months later, my scalp stopped itching and burning and its completely healed. Mirtha's milk shampoo is different from other shampoos in that its not filled with wax and yes, your hair does feel a little dry after washing it but once you put on her hair rinse and balsam, your hair is practically knot free after the final rinse. Its is the most wonderful product. I believe in them so much, that I actually became a Mirtha de Perales representative.
