Carol's Daughter Lisa's Hair Elixir Review

Since Carol's Daughter is a line mostly targeted towards women of color with natural hair, I decided to give it a try. I was not a fan of the scent, but I figured that like most oils, the scent would disappear after a few hours. I was so wrong. The scent was too overwhelming for me. As for the oil itself, whether I used a little or a lot, it did nothing but irritate my scalp. I tried using a small amount daily to help shield my hair from the bitter winter of the Great Lakes, but it did not help. I then tried it as a hot oil treatment and it made my dry scalp worse. All in all, my hair and scalp did not like this oil. It now sits in the bathroom cabinet until I have the guts to throw the remainder of the $19 I spent in the trash. This oil as well as other products from this line do not agree with my hair. I would recommend that you get a sample or even purchase it from the beauty chain (that has a money-back guarantee) where her products are available to try it out. That way, if you dislike it, you will not lose out on your hard-earned money.
