(More customer reviews)These pearls probably need to be cooked for about 30 minutes to reach the fullest size and chewiest consistency. They're okay after about 10 minutes of boiling, but they don't expand much in that time. After the five minutes' boiling directed by the package, they are definitely still hard and starchy in the middle. The color is nice, but they're not worth the price.
