(More customer reviews)I ordered the Sorbee Sugar Free Milk Chocolate Bars, 2.8-Ounce Bars (Pack of 12) based on the 1 reviewer enthusiasm and mostly on the nutritional information described under the title. Once they arrived I immediately opened one and right away the taste was not as good. That would have been okay but upon reading the nutrition label on the chocolate bar itself, I was dismayed that it contained 22 grams of malitol. Like I mentioned above this information was not clearly indicated on the nutritional info provided by the manufacturer. Under sugar it said 0 value and under sugar alcohols it said also 0 value. That is all it took for me to order the product plus the reviewer seemed so excited by rating it 5 stars. Word to the wise: when it comes to reviews more is better, I finally learned my lesson. The more reviews appearing on a product the better and easier to determine whether it is a good purchase. Yes, I have a great deal of respect and admiration for most of the reviews found in Amazon.com but when you find only a few, let's say 3 or less I have come to find out it is not enough to make an informed decision.
The chocolate itself is not all that great, certainly not a 5 Star rating, in my opinion. It has an after taste but also please note there are much better and healthier chocolate bars to be had. Never heard of Sorbee before and I will never buy Sorbee again. I do realize that people with sugar restrictions do not enjoy a whole lot of choices when it comes to sugar free products but like I said there are much better choices than this particular one. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but next time when I see only 1 review endorsing a product common sense will dictate to wait for more endorsements (many many more) or forgo altogether the desire to purchase.
2 Stars.
