(More customer reviews)Most hospitals with Medela pumps will give these containers out to moms in their postpartum wards. They screw on to the pumping accessories as well as Medela bottle nipples. They are handy containers for storing your first milk, however, not quite large enough for pumping once production really gets going after a few days postpartum. (Many new moms can pump up to 6 ounces! But 2 ounce bottles could be sufficient, too. Remember: pumping output is not indicative of supply!)
Luckily, Medela pumps will work with several different bottles, including the Playtex VentAire systems. The caps to this set will work on your bottles, which is nice. I like to take these little containers with me when I'm on the go and when I need to use the manual Medela pump accessories. I would recommend this storage set to the new mother who has a preemie baby or who is building up a "stash" during her early postpartum days.
