(More customer reviews)Whenever I buy from this seller the product is shipped pretty fast. Amazingly fast. They even stick on English instructions over the Japanese, but DO NOT add the little packet to the dye mix. The english instructions say to add everything, but only only add 1 & 2 together. I looked on other websites just to be safe and noticed this just in time. Unfortunately, neither the sites or instructions say what the little packet is for, so I had to guess. It looks like conditioner, which a lot of hair dye boxes normally include, so I just used it as such when I went to wash my hair after the dying process.
Anyway, any other asian that has tried to dye their hair with western hair dye should know how hard it is. Often, I can hardly even tell that I've dyed my hair, even when I choose 2 shades later than the color I wanted. The result hardly ever comes close to how it looks on the box, unless you've bleached your hair.
This is why I chose to try out an asian brand. I thought, 'It's for asians so it's bound to suit me better.' I was right. This stuff really lightened my hair, better than any western brand I've ever tried. It's much stronger than any I've tried as well, and I think that's why it stung my scalp. It wasn't a big deal though since it didn't really hurt much. Normally, I would wait a couple minutes more than the suggested time to leave it on, but then I noticed how light my hair was becoming. I only went over a few minutes. The final result was golden brown hair on top, medium brown in the middle, and dark brown at the bottom. I think it's the way my mom dyes my hair, because I often would get a similar result every time I tried to dye it. It was just more noticeable now since it's lighter than it usually is. This is good for a sort of halo effect, but I wanted a more even tone. I wouldn't really blame the product for this, though I do wish the suggested time to leave the dye on was longer so it would dye more evenly.
The only real problem I have with this product is that the end result looks too different from the picture on the box. It doesn't look beige like in the picture! It looks golden brown! The resulting shade looks closer to the example picture of a model who used the hair dye in Lucido's official site. Check out the site or look for examples from people who used the dye on google. They're more reliable than the picture on the box.
I will be using this brand again, since it did such a good job lightening my dark hair. Hopefully, I can get a more even shade if I dye the whole hair faster.
