(More customer reviews)This is excellent chocolate. It's a Valrhona chocolate, which means truly outstanding quality, nothing like ordinary brands you see advertized in TV.
It's key points are intense flavor and very long-lasting taste in your mounth after you swallow.
For my taste, though, I don't see the point of buying this particular one Valrhona Dark Bittersweet Chocolate Bar - 56% Cocoa when you can buy of exactly the same quality and Valrhona Dark Bittersweet Chocolate Bar - 71% Cocoa which is more intense. That's why I gave this one only 4 stars
If you are not familiar with the brand and you know you like dark chocolate. I would suggest you start out with the 71% and revert to this one only if you find the 56% too intense for you.
If instead you usually buy milk chocolate and you are moving the first steps into dark chocolate then maybe this one is for you.
A last thought, if you like intense flavor and aromatic flavor and you are ready to spend a little bit more buy Valrhona Guanaja squares. The squares are less thick than the bar, so the crock under your teeth is (in my opinion) more pleasurable.
Whatever your choice, in my opinion, with this brand you can't go wrong. Enjoy!
